The original generation of our beloved Psion Organisers and palmtop computers became extinct many years ago and yet die hard Psion users still live on! Yes, really, it makes me smile when I get 'tech support' calls from fellow users of Psion Series 3, 3a, 3mx, 5, 5mx, 7 & Revo; oh and the re-badged Ericsson MC218.My old friends at POS Ltd (http://www.clubpda.co.uk/) still are managing to repair Psion devices, mainly the classic screen failure caused by a broken cable. My advice to the loyal community of Psion users is 1) MOST IMPORTANT-keep doing regular backups to a PC or SSD/CFD (as applicable), 2) buy a spare Psion from eBay, and 3) make sure you replace the internal backup battery every year.
