These days most devices and peripherals come with Bluetooth connectivity, and yet there seems to be such a breakdown between file exchange with smartphones!
Just recently, I was with family/friends and I was trying to get a small JPG image beamed from a Sony Ericsson D700 mobile on to my Blackberry 8820. The devices 'paired' but then failed on the file exchange. Then the D700 successfully 'paired' and I beamed the image on to a Samsung ? I 'paired' the Samsung with my Blackberry but still the exchange failed! Running out of options, I then brought a friends iPhone and my iPod Touch (having Bluetooth after a recent flash upgrade, that didn crash!) in to the exchange, but they failed too.
Oh well, at least peripherals such as Bluetooth headsets seem to be universal, not minding who they 'pair' with.
